The MK Dons stadium is a familiar place for the Mitton team – last year, the company was commissioned to repair and upgrade the undersoil heating system in line with current requirements.
Work started lat year on the next phase of the stadium, increasing the capacity from 22,000 to 32,000. This has been achieved by installing seats in the upper tier, which was left largely empty with the exception of the Directors’ box and executive and corporate hospitality areas since the stadium was originally built in 2007.
Alongside this work, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel has also now been integrated into the West stand of the stadium, offering stylish guest rooms with pitch-facing views, and the 4,500 seater multi-purpose MK:Arena adjacent to the stadium is now open.
Mitton has completed all the energy auditing for the stadium and for the new arena, including the installation of new plant and boiler house to service both. The equipment is now remotely monitored and managed via Mitton’s Building Management System, incorporating alerts on energy consumption and maintenance issues to ensure efficiency and reliability.
