Morrisons has selected M&E specialists Mitton Group to manage planned maintenance, emergency call out and repair services for heating, ventilating and air conditioning facilities throughout the organisation’s network of over 400 stores nationwide as well as key ancillary sites including logistics, manufacturing and Head Office.
Planned and Reactive Maintenance Provision Nationwide
The two companies enjoy what must be one of the industry’s best established commercial relationships, having worked together on mechanical services projects for over half a century. Mitton will manage both planned and reactive maintenance right across the Morrisons estate, operating from established service centres nationwide located in Bradford, Swindon, Northampton and Livingston in Scotland.
The remit of work covers planned maintenance, quoted repairs and call out services, with all key sites remotely monitored from Mitton’s Bradford HQ using advanced building management systems. Locations include sites as geographically diverse as Inverness, Worthing and Gibraltar.
Mitton will also provide Morrisons with 24/7 Helpdesk support, with all engineers equipped with dedicated mobile devices and specialist management software for job allocation, task information and KPI processing.
Including The Mitton Group Totalcare Service
The contract also gives Morrison access to Mitton Group’s Totalcare Store and Site Technician service, operated by qualified teams of technicians carrying out hard FM and minor building repairs. Mitton Totalcare will visit stores and other locations on a fortnightly basis, providing interior building fabric repairs, PAT testing, fire extinguisher maintenance and water hygiene checks.
