Mitton’s water hygiene service is based around a two yearly detailed risk assessment carried out by specialists, supported by monthly site visits involving checks on water temperatures and water sampling where required.
The decision to become a member of the Legionella Control Association accreditation was prompted by Mitton’s commitment to maintaining a professional approach in all operational areas. Mitton’s systems operate in accordance with the LCA Code of Conduct and formal LCA Standards for Service Delivery.
A voluntary, independent, not for profit organisation, the LCA’s membership comprises service providers, manufacturers, installers and consultancies offering products and services associated with the control of legionella in water systems. It is managed by a committee drawn from BACS (British Association for Chemical Specialities), WMSoc (the Water Management Society), industry experts and health authorities, and has close links with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and other public health authorities.
Mitton now one of just 300 organisations who have satisfied the registration requirements of the LCA, demonstrating a commitment to the highest standards of service.
