Introduced in response to identified client requirements, particularly in the fast-moving retail sector, Mitton’s new Totalcare instore technician service operates nationwide, giving clients with multiple sites instant access to a qualified ‘handyman’ to carry out minor repairs.
From replacing toilet seats to ceiling tiles, from simple plumbing solutions through to electricals such as bulb and fluorescent tube replacements, Totalcare has been developed to cover most interior building fabric repairs.
Totalcare represents a significant investment by Mitton. The nationwide service now has trained instore technicians located nationwide, equipped to respond to a wide range of call outs, with fully stocked service vans. The team is controlled and managed through a sophisticated IT system, with all technicians using handheld PDA systems facilitating the dissemination and collection of job information and KPIs.
Mitton monitors all calls and supplies detailed information to clients on callout codes and cost of repairs, allowing detailed assessment of services provided, matched to the requirements of individual clients.
Managed through Aftercare, Totalcare is expected to respond to 30,000 reactive maintenance calls each year.
